CAC Handbook
A practical operations handbook for establishing and running Child Activity Centers (CACs) in marginalized communities — covering infrastructure requirements, curriculum frameworks for after-school learning, teacher training protocols, child protection guidelines, parent engagement strategies, and monitoring and evaluation systems. Developed from HEAL's direct experience running 22 CACs across coastal and Dalit communities in Kanyakumari District.
Child Protection Training
A structured facilitator's training manual on child protection, safeguarding, and abuse prevention — designed for community workers, teachers, NGO field staff, and parents in marginalized coastal and rural communities. Covers child rights under Indian law (POCSO Act, JJ Act), identification of abuse and neglect, safe reporting mechanisms, and building child-protective environments at home, school, and community levels.
Promotion of Child Rights
A community-accessible rights promotion resource covering children's constitutional entitlements, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), India's child protection legislation, and practical community advocacy strategies. Designed for grassroots facilitators, community leaders, parent groups, and Eco-Club teachers to build awareness and assertive rights-claiming capacity among children and families in marginalized communities.

Kitchen Garden
A practical, community-friendly guide to establishing and maintaining productive kitchen gardens using organic methods — covering seed selection, composting with vermi-compost and organic waste, seasonal planting calendars for coastal Tamil Nadu, natural pest management, and intercropping techniques. Developed for use in HEAL's school gardens and as a family food security resource for coastal and Dalit communities.
Climate Change
A Tamil-language community guide explaining climate change — its causes, its specific impacts on coastal and fisher folk communities in Kanyakumari District, and practical community-level adaptation and mitigation actions. Developed from HEAL's field observations following Cyclone Ockhi (2017) and the 2004 Tsunami, this guide translates complex climate science into accessible community knowledge for grassroots action and advocacy.
Disaster Management Training
A community disaster preparedness and response training manual developed from HEAL's direct experience managing the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami and Cyclone Ockhi (2017) in Kanyakumari District. Covers early warning system awareness, evacuation planning, community first aid, psychological first aid, livelihood protection during disasters, and post-disaster rehabilitation and recovery frameworks for coastal communities.
